DTRIP4H at eHealth2026 Conference in Helsinki
October 1-2, 2026
Researchers from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) participated in eHealth2026 in Helsinki, presenting work on federated digital infrastructure for digital twins and exchanging ideas on the future of European health data and digital healthcare.
Held on 1–2 October under the theme “Effective digital solutions in health care and social welfare services”, eHealth2026 brought together researchers and experts working on digital solutions for healthcare, social welfare and biomedical research.
Representing TalTech and the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, the team presented DTRIP4H and its work on a federated infrastructure for digital twin applications in scientific virtual environments. The research aims to support new approaches to eHealth and biomedical research by enabling digital resources and data to be used across distributed research environments.
A major topic throughout the event was the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and the opportunities it creates for making better use of health data across Europe. Henrique Martins presented perspectives on using European health data for evaluation in health systems, highlighting the growing importance of interoperable and accessible health data.
Participation in eHealth2026 provided an opportunity to share DTRIP4H’s work with the wider research community, learn from complementary European initiatives and identify potential areas for future collaboration.
