DTRIP4H at the International X-ray Day – Science Day 2025
November 7, 2025
DTRIP4H participated in the International X-ray Day – Science Day, an event dedicated to exploring the latest developments in radiography and research. The occasion, known in Finnish as Kansainvälinen Röntgenpäivä – Tiedepäivä, brought together professionals and researchers to discuss advancements in the field.
The event took place on 7 November 2025, coinciding with the International Day of Radiology, which commemorates the discovery of X-rays. It was held in a fully virtual format, enabling remote participation from across different regions.
The event was organized by the following institutions:
- Radiografian Tutkimusseura – Finnish Society of Radiography Research
- SORF – Suomen Röntgenhoitajat ry
The 2025 theme, “Research Knowledge to Support Radiographer Decision-Making,” highlighted the role of current scientific evidence in enhancing radiographers’ clinical decision-making processes and supporting ongoing professional development.
The DTRIP4H project was presented by partners from the University of Oulu, represented by Marja Jaronen, and the Oulu University of Applied Sciences, represented by Tanja Schroderus-Salo and Karoliina Paalimäki-Paakki. Their contribution provided insights into the project’s objectives, progress, and relevance to the future of radiography practice.
