DTRIP4H at the Virtual Human Twins' Events in Brussels

October 21-22, 2025

Last week, our coordinator Pirjo Spuul (Tallinn University of Technology) participated in two consecutive events dedicated to shaping the future of Virtual Human Twins (VHTs) and their role in personalised, data-driven healthcare.

1. European Virtual Human Twins (VHT) Initiative: Accelerating Innovation in Personalised Medicine
📅 21 October 2025 | 📍 Networking and Disscussions on DTRIP4H
Hosted by the European Commission, this high-level gathering brought together policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders to define the strategic vision for implementing VHTs in clinical practice.
Panel discussions focused on harnessing EU data spaces, advancing integrated VHTs, and building an inclusive roadmap to enable personalised, data-driven healthcare across Europe.

2. EU-Funded Research on Virtual Human Twins (VHTs): Fostering Collaboration for Accelerated Innovation
📅 22 October 2025 | 📍 Oral Presentation on DTRIP4H
Organised by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), this event connected leading EU-funded projects working on VHTs. It aimed to strengthen collaboration and align research efforts with the EDITH Roadmap, paving the way for the Advanced VHT Platform - a cornerstone for integrating VHT solutions into real-world healthcare applications.
