DTRIP4H Invites Research Infrastructures to Co-Create the Future of Digital Twins for Health in Europe

Workshop "DTRIP4H Positioning, Synergies, and Exploitation" (May 26 | 10:00 CEST | Online)

The DTRIP4H project aims to transform research infrastructures by creating a privacy-preserving, trustworthy and open-source digital twin environment. This initiative helps researchers and innovators develop digital twin models and applications, tackle current challenges, and support future progress in healthcare research by improving access, connectivity and collaboration across Europe.

𝑾𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 (𝑹𝑰) 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 to join an interactive co-creation workshop focused on the long-term sustainability and impact of the Decentralised Digital Twin Environment (DDTE) developed within DTRIP4H. The workshop will explore how this environment can support medical research and innovation across Europe, while strengthening collaboration with initiatives such as Destination EARTH, EIRENE, EATRIS, and other relevant RIs focused on healthcare.

- Workshop "DTRIP4H Positioning, Synergies, and Exploitation"
- Meeting day: May 26, 2026 | Time: 10:00 – 11:30 CET | Location: online

The workshop will bring together key stakeholders to discuss how DTRIP4H can align with existing research infrastructures and create added value through collaboration. Participants will share their expectations, opportunities and challenges, and help identify priority areas for interoperability, reuse and synthetic data governance.

By joining, you will contribute to shaping a shared vision for collaboration and help ensure that project results are effectively integrated into the European research landscape. We especially encourage contributions that build bridges between communities and open new opportunities for joint innovation.

We aim to engage experts such as:
- leaders and members of research infrastructures,
- digital twin and health tech specialists,
- data governance and privacy experts,
- SMEs working on digital twins or health AI,
- other relevant stakeholders in digital health and research infrastructures.

Workshop agenda:
◉ DTRIP4H overview and context within the European ecosystem (project coordinator Pirjo Spuul; 15 minutes);
◉ Perspectives of research infrastructures (EATRIS/EIRENE; 10 minutes)
◉ Interactive discussion on three main topics: a) DTRIP4H positioning in the ecosystem and alignment with existing research infrastructures. b) Priority areas for integration and adoption. c) Use, reuse and governance of synthetic data - strategic perspectives for sustainability. (All participants: DTRIP4H project partners and experts, representatives of RIs, representatives of health technology SMEs, etc.; 30-45 minutes)
◉ DTRIP4H exploitation aspects and possibilities (European Health Management Association-EHMA; 15-20 minutes)
